- About Me
Two decades inside real businesses. Now working for yours.
Anindya Majumdar is a former General Counsel with over two decades of multi-sectoral experience spanning governance, compliance, regulatory affairs, and data privacy. He has worked inside businesses across D2C, B2B, manufacturing, and services — which means the advice he gives is grounded in how organisations actually operate, not how they look on paper.
As a DSCI Certified Data Protection Officer (DPO 1225/036), Anindya has led DPDP readiness programs across listed entities, handled multiple regulatory inquiries, collaborated with cross-functional teams on compliance mandates, overseen enterprise-wide Records of Processing Activities (ROPA), presented quarterly privacy dashboards to boards, and chaired Data Privacy Steering Committees. Past clients and employers include Meru, Honeywell, Citibank, Reliance (ADAG), Deutsche Bank, Eureka Forbes, and Games24x7.
Anindya recently co-authored “Operationalising India’s DPDP Law” — a practical handbook on implementing DPDP compliance at ground zero, published by DPO Club and edited by Col. Binoj Koshy. The Privacy Desk is built on a simple belief: privacy compliance should be commercially realistic, leadership-aligned, and built to last inside the organisation that owns it.
